THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and driven Project Portfolio Manager to join our growing Project Management Office (PMO) team. Our PMO plays a crucial role in supporting the successful execution of our company's projects and programs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and delivering exceptional results. This is a fully remote position.
As a Project Portfolio Manager, you will:
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure alignment of projects and programs with our company's strategic direction
- Facilitate the prioritisation and selection of projects and programs, considering business value and resource availability
- Monitor and report on the performance and progress of projects and programs, providing valuable insights and recommendations to senior management
- Ensure high-quality execution and delivery of projects by promoting best practices, conducting quality assurance checks, and fostering effective communication and collaboration between project teams and stakeholders
- Work closely with the Head of PMO to develop and deliver project management training materials and education sessions for the organisation
- Enhance the internal visibility of the PMO and showcase its accomplishments by creating and sharing engaging content through internal communication channels
- Continuously improve our project portfolio management processes and practices to drive efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements
- Strong soft skills and interpersonal abilities to build relationships with team members, stakeholders, and department heads
- Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills to effectively present information and facilitate decision-making
- Advanced knowledge of Jira, including JQL, Structures, Roadmaps and familiarity with other project management and data analytics tools
- Knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, adapt to change, and maintain order in your activities
- Financial software industry experience is preferred, but not mandatory
- Certifications like PMP or MoP are a plus, but a track record of exceptional achievements in Project Management and beyond is highly valuable
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken, as it is the primary language used for communication within the company
