WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We’re looking for experienced JavaScript engineers to work on Productive’s frontend architecture.
This role pays a salary range of:
- EUR3,300 4,650 gross for an employment contract
- EUR 3,950 5,580 for a B2B contract
With an equity grant of:
- USD 17,000 - 30,000 in stock options (4 years with 1 year cliff)

Requirements
ABOUT THE JOB
This job requires maintaining a balance between technical problem-solving, optimizing for delivery and stability and sharing knowledge with other team members.
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning, developing, and ultimately owning product features
- Writing and maintaining automated tests
- Using metrics to help inform technical decisions
- Deploying to production several times a week, based on our release process
- Building a knowledge base for the entire team
- Reviewing pull requests from other team members and getting your PRs reviewed
- Providing technical support to other colleagues as you become more familiar with the product
With the rest of the team, you will build a resilient, service-oriented architecture and deploy your code daily without fear of breaking things.

INTEGRATIONS TEAM
The Integrations team builds features that bridge the gap between Productive and other external tools and services. Those tools span from accounting and human resources tools to Google Calendar, Slack and many more.
The team also maintains our own webhook service that helps other teams integrate Productive into their own apps.
As a member of the Integrations team you will be tasked with building and upgrading both new and existing integrations, take ownership of that codebase and also participate in company-wide frontend initiatives.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate for Productive is a software engineer with 4+ years of industry experience in building frontend apps.
If you recognize yourself in some of the following characteristics, we will be happy to meet you:
- A good understanding of Javascript/TypeScript and web development in general
- Experience with at least one frontend stack (React, Angular, Ember, Vue, etc.)
- Some knowledge of JS testing libraries such as Mocha, Jasmine, Qunit
- An interest in educating others and helping your team grow together
- Love for words such as KISS, YAGNI, DRY, SOLID
- A drive to make your code better every day
