Summary:
The Lead DevOps Engineer is tasked with the management and development of continuous integration and deployment solutions for production applications across various sites/software. The Lead DevOps Engineer is also tasked with the creation of software deployment strategies that allow DevOps engineers to successfully deploy sites/software in any environment. The Lead DevOps Engineer conducts training on junior DevOps engineers and other engineering teams on how to build processes where dependencies are represented clearly in code.

Responsibilities:
Lead and guide the day-to-day work of the DevOps Team Consult and provide guidance and direction to colleagues on their tasks when they are blocked Proactively monitor team progress and maturity. Engage with team to ensure constant progress and growth Be the architectural focal for the Cloud infrastructure Take accountability for process and principles implementation Liable for automating all manual tasks (for developing and deploying code) Identify production issues and improve monitoring solution Keep track of the latest industry trends and best practices Accountable for conducting training sessions for teams Dealing with management and development of continuous integration and developmentRequirements
- University degree in Computer Science or software engineering related field
- Experience with the core AWS services (EC2, ECS, VPC, S3, IAM, Lambda, Route53, CloudFront)
- Solid understanding of Linux operating systems
- Understanding of concepts around Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
- Knowledge in coding or scripting for systems automation (Python, Bash, etc.)
- Experience with containerization and clustering technologies (Docker, Kubernetes etc.)
- Experience in version control systems and CI/CD tools (GitHub, Bitbucket, GitHub Actions etc.)
- Experience in leading and mentoring DevOps teams
- Experience with monitoring and log analysis
- Experience with network and system administration
- 5+ years of experience working with Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP etc.)
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
Considered a plus:
- Infrastructure as a code
- Experience with Java/Scala development
- Experience with SQL and relational databases like PostgreSQL
- Experience in Agile development methodologies (SCRUM)
- Experience with JIRA software
- Experience with REST, micro-services orchestration
- Any AWS Certificate
