As an Data/DevOps Engineer you'll join a Data Platform Team who are passionate about building and operating our data platform which is used to gather, transform and serve data from various sources across the organization. As we scale, our Data Platform is becoming increasingly important for delivery of new products and making business decisions.
We are a data driven, goal-oriented team with a mission to evolve our data platform into the next-gen Big Data system based on the Data Lakehouse paradigm.
Our current tech stack is Python, Docker, Airflow, AWS (Amazon Web Services) to perform batch (Airflow, EMR) and stream (Firehose, Kafka) processing.
What you'll do
- Build system that will allow application developers to send data to the data lake.
- Build and operate data pipelines/ETL system that will allow Engineers and Data Intelligence to transform data.
- Design, automate and operate CICD, testing environments and infrastructure for Data Platform team.
- Work daily to improve the stability and robustness of the data platform; collect and analyze system metrics.
- Work closely with engineering teams to enable quick and independent development cycles and fast product delivery.
- Effectively communicate with team members and technical stakeholders infrastructure cloud engineers, security engineers and application developers.
- Review code and solution of other team members and contribute to solution designs.
Requirements
- Strong engineering background and development experience.
- DevOps and shift left mindset.
- Solid experience with Docker, IaC, AWS and CloudFormation/CDK/Terraform.
- Solid Linux fundamentals and administration skills.
- Solid programming knowledge and Python skills.
